We have modified our route as many times as you can imagine and it is still evolving. Our current plan is this:
- London
- Cotswolds
- Head to Paris by Eurostar
- Car rental – Amiens where we will meet a former colleague (a WW1 expert who is allowing us to tag along around Northern France’s battle sites)
- Paris – Neve will meet us
- 50 day road trip around Western Europe (itinerary TBD)
- Late October – Nepal
- November/December – India (Darjeeling, Golden Triangle, Varanasi)
- Christmas – Doha, Qatar. We will stay with Mark’s lifelong friend (and his family) who teaches there.
So this is where our itinerary gets a little looser. It’s hard to plan too far in advance as flight schedules are only released sometimes 9 months ahead. Tentatively, it looks like this:
- January – sometime in April – Southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia). We’ll go back to Bali to show the kids where we got married.
- April – sometime in June – Eastern Europe.
We plan to return home in time for the girls to start up playing summer soccer and reunite with their school friends before the end of the school year.
